Libra Ingress Chart September 22 2021
Oct. 9th, 2021 05:58 pmBelow is the chart for this year's Autumnal Equinox, which will take place on September 22 at 3:20p.m.
All outer planets are retrograde.
As this chart is in the mutable sign of Capricorn, it is in effect only between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice. The Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice charts both remain in effect through this time, and so this chart should be seen as adding a slight modification to those two.
The first thing I notice about this chart-- and which isn't depicted in the graphic above-- is that every single outer planet is Retrograde. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and even Pluto are all moving backwards from the Earth's perspective. Now, contemporary astrologers have a way of making too much of retrogrades-- treating them as end-of-the-world indicators and harbingers of doom, which they are not. But just because it's possible to make too much of them doesn't mean we ought to make too little of them. Retrogradation is a serious debility for a planet, and it comes with the specific connotation of "backwards movement." With so many planets in retrograde, and all of them outer planets that work over long stretches of time, influencing the trends that govern decades and generations, we can expect this Fall to be very much a time of regress.
But regress in what specific areas? Let's look at the chart and find out. As always, we'll start with
The Sun and Moon
The First House or Ascendant rules the people generally. In our chart, the Ascendant is in Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn.
One thing I've been tracking this year is the conflict between Saturn and Uranus, represented by the square aspect between the two planets. In the Spring and Summer charts, Aquarius was on the Ascendant; here Capricorn is, but Aquarius is also found within the First House. Now Uranus rules Aquarius, and Saturn rules Capricorn. I believe these signs and their ruling planets represent the warring factions within our country-- one is Uranian and Aquarian, seeking freedom and chaos; the other Saturnine and Capricornian, seeking restriction and order. The fact that it is Capricorn, not Aquarius, that rises, suggests that for the next 3 months, the Saturnine force will be in ascendancy. And you know what that means. Expect mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and all the rest of it to proliferate throughout this time.
This is confirmed by the position of Saturn himself. In this chart, Saturn is found in the First House, and is trine both the Sun, representing the president, and Mars, the ruler of the Tenth House of the Executive Branch. In the ongoing struggle of Saturn and Uranus, Saturn is temporarily triumphant.
House II: The House of Wealth
The Second House rules the nation's wealth. In this chart, the House Cusp is in Aquarius, which is ruled by Uranus; Jupiter is conjunct the House Cusp; and Neptune is in this House as well, in his rulership in Pisces. In the Second House we have a bit of good news, though the story is somewhat complicated.
Jupiter in the second house is a very favorable indicator for the nation's economy. Note his sextile to the Moon. The sextile is a helping aspect, and the Moon, as we've said, represents the people-- or at least, the politically active among them. In combination with the presence of a strong Neptune, natural ruler of Socialism, this suggests that government largesse is going to continue to flow, at least toward politically favored segments of the population.
Uranus, the House ruler, is in a much worse condition than Neptune or Jupiter. Uranus remains in his Fall in Uranus, where he's been since 2018. In this chart, he is located in the Fourth House, which rules the countryside, farm country, mining operations, and the political opposition. This suggests that while the government taps will continue to flow, people in farm country and the red states aren't going to be benefited, and economic conditions in the countryside will continue to worsen.
House III: All The News That's Fit to Hide
The Third House rules transportation, communication, and the news media; in modern times, it is the House of the Internet. In our chart the Third House is in Aries, which is ruled by Mars; the Moon is here as well, in a decidedly mixed condition.
As we have seen, Mars is in his Detriment in this chart, in Libra, conjunct the Sun, who represents the president and also rules the Eighth House of death. All of this is bad news. Literally-- Expect drama, death, and chaos in the news during this time, and ongoing conflict on the internet and over internet censorship. The Moon in this House, afflicted by opposition to Mercury and by placement in a cadent House, suggests that the people in general and the "political class" are going to be the target of open conflict and acrimony-- especially online.
House IV: The Flyover House
The Fifth House rules the entertainment industry, financial speculation, and children. The House cusp is in Gemini, which makes Mercury its ruler.
Mercury is in a very mixed condition in this chart. He has no special dignity or debility in Libra, but benefits from a trine to Jupiter. He is weakened, however, by placement in a cadent House and by opposition to the Moon. Difficulties in the stock market are likely during this time, though the government may intervene. The opposition to the Moon, who is also the natural ruler of childhood, suggests that the ongoing conflict over vaccination and Critical Race Theory in schools will be a persistent source of conflict during this time.
House VI: Health, the Working Class, the Military
The Sixth House represents public health, and also the working class and the military. As the House Cusp is in Gemini, this House is also ruled by Mercury. We can therefore understand this House by taking everything I said about the Fifth House above and applying it to matters of Sixth House rulership. In this case, the conflict between the Moon and Mercury represents the ongoing conflict between the politically active and politically favored classes (Moon) and the working class, the military, and probably healthcare workers (Mercury).
Jupiter's trine to Mercury is interesting. Jupiter rules the Twelfth House of secrets, including secret organizations. It's very likely that certain people, including some who have wealth and power, and possibly a strong religious devotion, are moving among the disaffected members of the working classes and the military, possibly pushing the situation into overt conflict with the political classes and even the federal government. "Watch this space," as they say; I don't think it will explode during this time, but the hour is getting very late, and things are heating up.
House VII: Foreign Affairs and War
The Seventh House represents foreign nations and war. As the House Cusp is in Cancer, the Moon is its ruler. The Moon, as we know, is in Aries in the Third House, sextile Jupiter, opposite Mercury. Now as the Third House is a cadent House, the suggestion is that foreign affairs will be relatively quiet during this time. But note, first, the sextile to Jupiter, ruler of the twelfth house; and, second, the opposition to Mercury, ruler of the Sixth. These suggest foreign agents and foreign money operating behind the scenes in America's cold civil war, encouraging conflict between different segments of the population.
The Eighth House represents foreign wealth; it also represents death. As the House Cusp is in Leo, the Sun is its ruler.
I believe that Joe Biden is going to die in office or be removed before the Spring Ingress in 2022. There, I said it.
The Sun's position in a cadent House, conjunct a debilitated Mars, opposed by a powerful Neptune, suggest that we're going to see serious trouble in the months ahead. Public health is going to worsen, foreign trade is going to suffer, and we'll probably have a new president by the time I wish you a merry Alban Arthan, and almost certainly by the next Alban Eilir. Be prepared.
And so there you have it-- three to six more months of chaos and drama here in the disunited States of America.
By the way, this post is more or less still in draft condition, but I want to get it out before we're a whole month into the time it rules, so I'm posting it today. I may update it over the next week.
All outer planets are retrograde.
Opening Remarks
As this chart is in the mutable sign of Capricorn, it is in effect only between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice. The Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice charts both remain in effect through this time, and so this chart should be seen as adding a slight modification to those two.
The first thing I notice about this chart-- and which isn't depicted in the graphic above-- is that every single outer planet is Retrograde. With so many planets in retrograde, and all of them outer planets that work over long stretches of time, influencing the trends that govern decades and generations, we can expect this Fall to be very much a time of regress.
But regress in what specific areas? Let's look at the chart and find out. As always, we'll start with
The Sun and Moon
The Sun represents the head of state in a mundane chart; Joe Biden, in our case.
We find the Sun in the Ninth House, conjunct Mars, trine Saturn, and opposed to Neptune. (We ignore the Sun's position in Libra for the sake of this chart, as the Sun is always in Libra at the Equinox.)
This is a very bad position for the Sun to be in. The Ninth is a cadent house, meaning that planets located herein are especially weak. President Biden is going to have a very hard time accomplishing much of anything during this time, and his popularity with the public is likely to slip. The opposition to Neptune, which rules delusion and madness, suggests that Biden himself may be unaware of this; his hold on reality may be more or less tenuous, at this point. On the other hand, Neptune's position in the Third House of the internet and media suggests that public criticism of Biden is likely to be strong and that even the president's tame media lackeys may begin to turn on him. The conjunction with Mars, which, in the sign of Libra is in Fall, is a very bad indicator. We can at minimum expect a serious scandal, and it is very possible that Joe Biden will die in office during the time period ruled by this chart.
The Ninth House rules a number of matters, but one that isn't highlighted enough in modern astrology is what older texts call "Imperial Affairs." Officially, America doesn't have an empire, so this isn't relevant. Unofficially, we do, and we can expect Biden to be focused on it during this time. The Ninth House also rules immigration. The twin crises marked especially by the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and the failing of the Southern Border will dominate headlines during the next 3-6 months, and the president will be more or less powerless to do anything about them.
The Sun's only positive indicator is a very distant trine to Saturn. Now, Saturn rules the First House in this chart, as we'll soon see, and he is located in that House. As such, the trine indicates that Biden still enjoys a very solid level of support among a certain fraction of the population. We'll see in a moment that there are two signs in the First House, which, to my mind, indicates a pretty clear division among the public. One segment is represented by Capricorn and Saturn, and the other by Aquarius and Uranus. The Saturnine half of the public is still strongly behind the president.
The Moon in a mundane chart rules the people generally-- or at least, that fraction of the people who have the power to participate in the political events of the day. In this chart, the Moon is located in Aries, the sign of Mars; in the Third House of the internet, media and communication; opposed to Mercury; and sextile Jupiter.
To my mind, the position of the Moon in Mars's sign, in the House of media, making an opposition to Mercury, the ruler of communication, says "People getting riled up by the news and arguing with each other on the Internet." Mercury also rules the Fifth House of education, sports, and speculation; and the Sixth House of public health. The opposition suggests continued trouble in these areas-- probably in the form of continued, highly rancorous debates over the situation in the schools, mask mandates for young children, and everybody's favorite disease.
The sextile to Jupiter, who also rules the Eleventh House of Congress, suggests that federal aid will come to a politically favored population groups during this time.
We find the Sun in the Ninth House, conjunct Mars, trine Saturn, and opposed to Neptune. (We ignore the Sun's position in Libra for the sake of this chart, as the Sun is always in Libra at the Equinox.)

House IV: The Flyover House
The Fourth House represents the interior of the country, the farms and mines, and the opposition party. The House Cusp is in Taurus, which is ruled by Venus, and Uranus is here as well. Venus is in the Tenth House of the federal government in this chart; in Scorpio, the sign of her Detriment; and she is making an opposition to Uranus, who is in the sign of his Fall.
All in all, these are signs of serious trouble. Uranus rules chaos, violence, and terrorism. In this chart, he also rules the Second House of the nations' economy, as we have seen. Afflicting Venus, his presence here suggests that government largesse and the national economy not only won't benefit rural people or red staters but that it will be actively used as a weapon against them. In particular, I expect some level of economic shutout and economic warfare against opponents of the Administration to pick up in intensity during the following six months. From vaccine mandates to "counterterrorism operations" against "white supremacy," the Biden Administration is going to target its political opponents in using increasingly authoritarian and violent methods.
House V: TV, Stocks and Kids

Jupiter's trine to Mercury is interesting. Jupiter rules the Twelfth House of secrets, including secret organizations. It's very likely that certain people, including some who have wealth and power, and possibly a strong religious devotion, are moving among the disaffected members of the working classes and the military, possibly pushing the situation into overt conflict with the political classes and even the federal government. The Eighth House represents foreign wealth; it also represents death. As the House Cusp is in Leo, the Sun is its ruler.
I believe that Joe Biden is going to die in office or be removed before the Spring Ingress in 2022. There, I said it.

House IX: God's Law, Nature's Law, Man's Law
The Ninth House represents the Supreme Court, religion, science and higher education, as well as "imperial affairs," as the older books put it. As the cusp of the House is in Libra, the ruler is Venus, whose rather difficult condition we've already considered. The Sun and Mars are here too, both afflicted.
The Mars-Sun conjunction in this House is an evil omen, and foretells conflict over the legal system, the higher educational system, and probably immigration; these indications are only exacerbated by Venus's bad position. Venus in the Tenth House and the afflicted Sun in the Ninth tell us that conflict over the federal government will be rather extreme during this time.

Venus in the Tenth House and the afflicted Sun in the Ninth tell us that conflict over the federal government will be rather extreme during this time.
House X: The Powers That Be
The Tenth House rules the Executive Branch of government as distinct from the president himself. The House Cusp is in Scorpio, and so Mars is the House Ruler. This is, to put it plainly, more bad news. Mars is badly debilitated in this chart; the conjunction to the Sun is known as "combustion," and is a serious affliction; Libra is the sign of his detriment; the cadent Ninth House weakens him further. The federal government is in trouble. The combustion acts like a kind of blindness; Mars is, of course, the planet of war. It's like a drunken blind man groping angrily about in rage during this time period, unable to accomplish anything but able to do harm to itself and those under its power. The strange relationship between Venus and Mars suggests that there is a secret but very real and potentially deadly conflict between two different factions within the Executive Branch-- almost certainly between Biden and Kamala Harris. That conflict is going to heat up during this time.
Mars and Venus
Before we continue, we need to talk about Mars and Venus in this chart. Each of these planets is in a sign ruled by the other, a condition called mutual reception. Mutual reception in an astrological chart means that there is a hidden connection between the planets in question; it also means that you can, to a certain extent, swap the two planets out for one another. This places Mars in Scorpio, in the Tenth House, and Venus in Libra, in the Ninth.
Mars in the Tenth, in a sign he rules, opposed to Uranus but aided by a trine to Neptune, is a very baleful indicator. Note that Neptune is trine Venus/(Mars), but opposed to the Sun. This further indicates conflict in the Executive Branch, and in particular that people loyal to Kamala Harris are probably going to be outmaneuvering those loyal to Joe Biden. I really think that this ends with Biden replaced with Harris by next Spring, as I've said.

(If I'm wrong, well, there's a reason I'm not yet charging money for my mundane charts, as opposed to my natal readings.)
House XI: Congress
The Eleventh House represents Congress, especially the House of Representatives. As the House Cusp is in Sagittarius, Jupiter rules this House. We've seen that Jupiter is in the Second House, making a sextile to the Moon and a trine to Mercury. Congress does reasonably well during this time, and is going to be passing legislation meant to get money flowing to the American people. Nor will they be completely unsuccessful in this regard.
House XII: Hidden Things
The Twelfth House represents national institutions, prisons and factories, and hidden enemies. The Twelfth House cusp is also in Sagittarius, and so this House is also ruled by Jupiter. Here the indications are rather different-- as I said above, what this tells me is that shadowy forces are working behind the scenes to encourage conflict and division among the American people. It's particularly important to note that the Moon and Mercury are in opposition to one another, but Jupiter is making beneficial aspects to both of them, not just one.
And so there you have it-- three to six more months of chaos and drama here in the disunited States of America.
By the way, this post is more or less still in draft condition, but I want to get it out before we're a whole month into the time it rules, so I'm posting it today. I may update it over the next week.
